Boeing and its striking Seattle-area workers have reached a tentative deal to end a more than month-long stoppage, the union said Saturday.

The deal reached by the machinists union, which represents more than 33,000 workers, would cumulatively raise wages by nearly 40 percent over four years, according to details shared by the union.

Boeing has made a new contract offer with a higher wage increase and other incentives in an attempt to end the strike. The union will vote Wednesday.
