State police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Columbia early Sunday morning. Troopers from Troop K responded to the 7-Eleven gas station and convenience store located at 52 Route 66 in Columbia around 2:30 a.m. for a reported armed robbery, according to the Connecticut State Police.

The suspect went into the store holding a silver revolver and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk, according to state police.
