Jalen Rivers, Elijah Alston return for Hurricanes’ game against Louisville

Left tackle Jalen Rivers and defensive end Elijah Alston came back from their respective injuries, warming up before the game on Saturday. Rivers had not played since Week 1 against Florida, while Alston missed UM’s previous game against Cal. Miami coach Mario Cristobal said earlier in the week that Rivers was due to return.

Miami Hurricanes beefing up in trenches as two key players return for Louisville game

On the defensive line, Alston, Rueben Bain Jr. (who returned for the Cal game after sitting out four games with injury) and Tyler Baron will be Miami’s primary edge rushers. Simeon Barrow and Akheem Mesidor are the Hurricanes’ primary defensive tackles, with C.J. Clark and Ahmad Moten next in line.
