YouTube is testing a new version of its axed Premium Lite subscription. The video-sharing giant has confirmed it is trying out a “different version” of the cheaper version of YouTube Premium in Australia, Germany, and Thailand, after axing it a year ago.

Some users are reporting that they are seeing an option to subscribe to YouTube Premium Lite, a plan that was discontinued in 2023.

The original Premium Lite subscription began testing in Europe in 2021, but it only lasted a few years, with the video platform eliminating the option in October 2023. The plan's only benefit was removing all ads;
