The Miami Hurricanes once again won a tightly contested conference game, this time a 52-45 road win over the Louisville Cardinals, to remain undefeated. And it played a part in Miami staying put in the AP top-25 poll for a third consecutive week. The Hurricanes once again checked in at No. 6 in the latest edition of the AP poll, released on Sunday.

Miami has a claim to be the nation’s best offense. The unit put up 45 points in the victory (with seven points coming on a defensive touchdown). That performance actually brought UM’s scoring average down to 48.3 points per game — slightly behind No. 1 Indiana, which is averaging 48.7.

Miami remained in the same spot in the AP Top 25 Poll for the third consecutive week, staying out of the top five even after then-No. 1 Texas lost to then-No. 5 Georgia late Saturday night.
